The mission of Family Promise is to break the cycle of poverty by helping children experiencing homelessness and their families to achieve long-term independence in housing of their own. Family Promise serves local families with at least one child under the age of 17 who are experiencing homelessness. They provide each family with a safe place to stay and healthy meals all while helping adults to find stable employment and housing. Greggton UMC is proud to support this mission by being a host location through their program rotation. Every nine weeks we have numerous volunteers who help to make Greggton welcoming and comfortable for the families. This is a great opportunity to get involved and make a difference.
